Can I visit the FLAME University campus, before applying for admission?
Yes. In fact, we encourage that. Please book a campus tour prior to your arrival (http://www.flame.edu.in/admissions/visit-us).

When can I apply to FLAME University for admission?
You can apply to FLAME University once our application portal is open. We strongly recom-mend you to apply early (Admission Schedule) so that you have enough time to plan and prepare for your admission.

How do I apply to FLAME?
Please register on the FLAME University website (apply.flame.edu.in) to create your user ac-count. You will get an auto generated e-mail with your log in information. Use this log in infor-mation to apply. For details, you may refer to the section on ‘Apply Now’.

Whom should I contact if I have any doubt in filling the application form?

What is the cut off score for SAT or Xth grade? What was the cut off score for the previous batch?
FLAME University has designed the selection process in such a way that each applicant has a fair chance of admission. The university tries to ensure that bright well rounded individuals get ad-mitted to its undergraduate programs.

I am not happy about my SAT results. What are my chances for admission?
FLAME has an internal assessment process which considers various parameters for selection of candidates. Test score is just one of the parameters we consider for selection. Even if you score below average in your entrance test or SAT etc., but your application is strong in other aspects, chances are you might still get an offer from FLAME University. Needless to say, the higher the test scores the better your chances of getting an offer of admission.

What is FEAT? Can you give me details on FEAT?
FEAT (FLAME Entrance Aptitude Test) is a written examination conducted by the FLAME University for admission to its UG programs of study for the applicants who do not have a SAT score.

FEAT is of 120 minutes duration and is divided into 4 sections, as given below:

Section 1: Verbal ability – 40 questions (50 marks)

  • Vocabulary - 10 questions (10 marks)
  • Grammar and Usage - 10 questions (10 marks)
  • Reading Comprehension - 12 questions (18 marks)
  • Writing Composition - 8 questions (12 marks)

Section 2: Reasoning (Analytical and Logical) - 20 questions (40 marks)
Section 3: Quantitative ability - 20 questions (30 marks)
Section 4: General knowledge - 20 questions (20 marks)

All questions shall be of multiple-choice (MCQ) type.

You need not answer the questions in sequential order. In case of doubt, you can leave the question and come back to it at a later point.

This sample question paper serves only as a tool to help applicants assess the rigor of the FLAME Entrance Aptitude Test. The actual FLAME Entrance Aptitude Test will be different.

Is there negative marking in FEAT?
There is no negative marking for FEAT.

Are calculators allowed during FEAT?
No, calculators are not allowed during the FLAME Entrance Aptitude Test.

Do I have to go for any special coaching before appearing for FEAT?
There is no need of taking special coaching for FEAT. The standard of questions would be similar to most of the other competitive examinations.

I am still to take my 12th standard final board exams. Should I write predicted grades in the application form?
You do not need to write your predicted scores. You can leave that part of your application blank. Once you receive your 12th grade scores, please send us its scanned copy at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

Where are your admission centres?
We have centres in Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Ahmedabad, Delhi, Kolkata and Chennai. These are tentative centres and may change. Please refer to the admission schedule before choosing your centre for FEAT/GD/PI. Though the university will try to allot your preferred centre, it is not necessary that you may get the same and university may allot you a different centre for appearing in FEAT/GD/PI.

How is an admission selection decision made?
FLAME University evaluates your application based on various parameters mentioned in the ‘Selection Process’ section. The decision of FLAME University shall be final in this regard.

How can I check my admission status?
You are advised to keep checking your user account on our application portal for latest updates. Your admission status will be e-mailed also to you.

How do I accept the offer of admission?
You need to submit your offer acceptance letter and pay the admission deposit fee before the deadline mentioned in your offer letter. If you fail to do so within the prescribed time, your of-fer shall stand automatically withdrawn.

Does FLAME University provide scholarships?
Meri-based, need-based and special scholarships are available to the deserving students. Please refer to the section on scholarships.

Can I get assistance on education loans?
Yes. Necessary documentation support is provided to help you to get an education loan. Please contact us on our toll free number 1-800-209-4567 to know more.

Do you admit students on management quota?
There is no management quota at FLAME University. All students are admitted strictly on merit basis.

If I choose not to join the program, will I get the admission deposit back?
The university shall refund the admission deposit fee after deducting INR 5000, if such a request is received before the specified date. If a candidate requests for withdrawal any time thereafter, no such request shall be processed.

I am waitlisted. When will I know the final decision?
Depending upon the availability of vacant seat(s), we will notify the waitlisted candidates as mentioned in the wait list letter. Please remain in touch with our counsellors.

What documents do I need to bring to the FEAT and GD/PI?
You need to bring your admit card to the FEAT and GD/PI. You can download a copy of your admit card from the application portal.

The following documents and certificates already uploaded on the application portal or submitted through e-mail subsequently:

  • Copy of 10th standard (or equivalent) mark sheet
  • Copy of 10th standard (or equivalent) certificate
  • Copy of 12th standard (or equivalent) mark sheet, if available
  • Copy of 12th standard (or equivalent) certificate, if available
  • SAT scorecard (if available). Our DI code is 6784.
  • Copies of all other certificates and transcripts (optional)

What is the induction program?
It is an orientation program to familiarise the new students with the campus, academic pro-gram, grading, campus facilities, events and activities, and systems. It is conducted before the academic commencement of the undergraduate programs.

Do you offer admission to transfer students?
FLAME University accepts transfer candidates to its undergraduate programs. However, it is done on a case to case basis depending on what courses an individual has completed in his/her previous college, what scores they have earned in such courses and whether those courses can earn them the credits required to waive their time at FLAME University. You will have to go through the admission process like any other applicant.

Does FLAME University accept the IB certificates?
Only IB diploma holders are eligible for admission to FLAME University in its UG programmes. IB certificate students are not eligible for admission.

You may apply in any of the cycles best suited to you. However, we encourage students to apply for the early decision cycle since it gives them the first mover advantage and the best chance of securing admission to FLAME University

Is there a minimum cut off score required for each of the tests for admission to FLAME University?
FLAME has designed the selection process in such a way that each applicant has a fair chance of admission. With this, FLAME tries to ensure that bright well-rounded individuals get admitted to FLAME’s postgraduate programs.

My admission test score is lower than I expected. What are my chances of selection?
FLAME has an internal assessment process which considers various parameters for selection of candidates. Admission test score is just one of the parameters we consider for selection. Even if you score below average in your entrance tests, but your application is strong in other aspects, chances are you might still get an offer from FLAME. Obviously, the higher the test scores the better your chances of getting an offer letter.

Can I apply with my previous year’s CAT score?
No, only current year CAT score is valid. The same applies to other national level admission tests such as XAT, MAT, CMAT and MH-CET. The validity of GMAT is 5 years. So, if you have a valid GMAT score till the date of enrolment, you are eligible to apply.

I am planning to give multiple national level tests. Which test should I mention in the application form? Which score will you consider for my admission?
Please mention the scores of all the tests you have taken. We will consider your best national level test score for the selection process.

I have secured a better score in another national level test. But I had already submitted my application form/ participated in the GD and PI with a lower test score. Can I resubmit my higher test score?
Yes, you may share your best national level test score with us to improve your chances of selec-tion to FLAME University. We will re-evaluate your application based on your new national level test score.

Where are your admission centres?

  • Copy of national level entrance test scorecard (CAT/ MAT/ XAT/ CMAT/ GMAT/MH-CET), if available
  • Copies of all other certificates, transcripts, and testimonials (optional, but these documents may have relevance in assessing your candidature)
  • Copy of work experience certificates (if applicable)

What is the preparatory program?
It is an intensive program before the commencement of the academic program. It seeks to en-hance your quantitative and verbal abilities aimed at helping you during your post-graduation at FLAME University. This program is mandatory for all students.

What is the induction program?
It is an orientation program to familiarise new students with the campus, academic program, grading, campus facilities, events and activities, and systems.

Both, the induction and preparatory programs are conducted before the commencement of the postgraduate program.
