Why I Chose FLAME
I chose FLAME simply because of the fact that 'Liberal Education' sets it apart from other educational institutions. For me that would imply flexibility from both the teachers' and students' perspectives. From the students' perspective I felt that it would give them the freedom to meander through the courses with no compulsions and then make a choice. For the teacher it would mean flexibility in designing the courses and hence using appropriate pedagogical tools.
What Sets FLAME Apart From Other Institutions
For teachers' there are tremendous growth opportunities especially in research. Projects like DIP, DAP, FIL, etc. are USP's of FLAME.
The Courses I Teach At FLAME
I have taught Introduction to Sociology and Sociological Theories. I have also taken workshops on Public Speaking and Debate. I have taken workshops in DAP and Research Methodology for DIP. I have also taken a workshop on Presentation Skills.
My Most Eventful Experience In The Classroom
All my classes are good enough but the most interesting ones are in my Debate class.
The Most Outstanding Features Of Curriculum Delivery At FLAME
That I don't have to follow any rigid parameters for delivery is the biggest hallmark of curriculum delivery at FLAME. I can prepare for my courses the way I wish to, prepare for pedagogical tools not only in advance but even spontaneously craft them.
What I Cherish And Admire The Most About FLAME
I cherish everything about FLAME in every possible way - my interactions with my peers, my Deans, and my interactions with students within and outside the classroom especially for DIP for which we travelled to Kerala. An enriching experience, this trip facilitated reciprocal learning.
