“Innovation in education under the umbrella of traditional values and modern infrastructure is what I cherish the most about FLAME."
Why I Chose FLAME
FLAME is anchored in liberal education which is rarely found in the academic set up in our country.
Open minded approach towards the education with a possibility to bring innovation in courses offered to students along with the traditional methods of teaching is why I chose FLAME.
What Sets FLAME Apart From Other Institutions
The balance between traditional values and modern facilities in the field of education ensuring the holistic development of student and not just academic development, the concept of ‘Mentoring’ and the vision and successful implementation behind flagship programs of FLAME like DAP and DIP.
The Courses I Teach At FLAME
I teach a range of courses in dance practical and theory at FLAME. The practical courses are from traditional Bharat Natyam to Choreography and Improvisation. The theory courses are Indian Dance, Indian Contemporary Dance, Dance Theatre and World Dance. Although my forte has been practical dance, especially Bharatnatyam, I enjoy teaching courses in theory since they provide a strong foundation in understanding various aspects related to the technique and performance.
My Most Eventful Experience In The Classroom
I strongly feel that a performing arts class is a vibrant class always. I remember one class where we were conducting an exercise in improvisation. One of my students who was a non-dancer and was from a sports background chose to improvise a movement from Rugby. It was a lot of fun and surprise for the entire class to improvise the Rugby movement.
The Most Outstanding Features Of Curriculum Delivery At FLAME
Implementation of the academic program with meticulous practices and rigor, extracting the best out of each and every student.
What I Cherish And Admire The Most About FLAME
