Why I Chose FLAME

The first thing that struck me about FLAME was its unique concept of liberal education. The work cum learning environment here allows me, even as a teacher, to experiment with my methods, to design and develop a wide range of interesting courses, to innovate, and to develop my own skills and competencies.

What Sets FLAME Apart From Other Institutions

FLAME’s pedagogy, methodology, the curriculum and courses offered, the approaches that are adopted, and programs such as the Discover India Program and the Developmental Activities Program, which contribute towards the all-round development of students, provide the institution with a distinctive and defining character.

The Courses I Teach At FLAME

I primarily teach courses in Literature and a few courses in Film Studies.

My Most Eventful Experience In The Classroom

My students are my source of stimulation. Every time a student startles me with an intelligent question or an intelligent comment which I had never thought of when reading a text, every time I watch a good presentation, every time a student gives me a good research paper to grade or writes a good tutorial in my class, I feel motivated and inspired.

The Most Outstanding Features Of Curriculum Delivery At FLAME

Teaching at FLAME is not simply classroom-centric, as it attempts to integrate knowledge and information from a variety of sources. For example, when I teach literature, I show my students documentaries, in order to create visual memory, and so that they are able to gauge the culture and the time period a writer refers to. Guest lectures, talks and cultural exchanges also create a balance between theory and practical experience.

What I Cherish And Admire The Most About FLAME

It is a beautiful campus, so traveling here from the city every morning is truly the highlight of my day. I believe the environment plays a very important role in creating and enhancing your motivation levels. The scenic hills and clear skies that encompass FLAME are invigorating. It is an environment when is conducive to work. It encourages you to explore; to experiment; to envision; to interact. The harmony and synchrony of the FLAME ecosystem extends to its classrooms, where students and teachers, with diverse histories and personalities, collaborate and cooperate to create a unique learning field.
