Why I Chose FLAME

I was most impressed by the commitment of the FLAME community towards holistic grooming, with Fine Arts as one of the important components. A spacious and well lit studio devoted to sculpture and freedom to create my own courses impressed me the most.

What Sets FLAME Apart From Other Institutions

Art is an attitude which has to be cultivated. FLAME's liberal education gives opportunity to the student to experience all mediums of fine arts and find their own connection and appreciation with various disciplines. Art has to be taught in such a fashion that they get hooked for life. Creativity should be part of their everyday life. No one is allowed to say they are not creative.

The Courses I Teach At FLAME

I teach Introduction to Sculpture, Sculpture Materials and Creative Sculture.

My Most Eventful Experience In The Classroom

During the first few days, I struggled with my excited students to teach them the skills of clay modelling. They were excited to feel and touch the clay but dint know what to do with it. If I gave them freedom to do whatever they wanted, the students went blank. It is then that I realized that the students need to be taught to think. Art is an expression, the students need to look within to find oneself. Their renewed creative expressions have been most eventful.

The Most Outstanding Features Of Curriculum Delivery At FLAME

FLAME has allowed me to plan my courses my way, giving me the liberty to look into the students need and ability to manipulate the course design accordingly. It gives me great satisfaction when senior artists like Jai Zarotia, Raju Sutar, Vaishali Oak, Sujata Dharap, Deepak Sonar and many more have given positive reactions on the work in class.
